Podcast Themes & Music

2024 film

So, over the pandemic, I expanded my sound library, and I want to show it off! This is a string quartet, two violins, a viola, and a cello, just meant to show what I can do with a string section.

This is the theme for my beloved podcast, The Escapismists.

A friend wanted to hear music and atmospheres for a screenplay that he’s written and plans to direct, with a projected release in 2024. The script dives deeply into a world of abuse, trauma and coping. This piece was written for a scene of where the character goes when he becomes the target of violence.

The play also involves drug abuse. So, there is a fair bit of altered perspectives and hallucinatory imagery that the characters are navigating.

Our two lead characters have a mythological place that they’re escaping to. A folk tale of two people who made it out of the cycle of abuse that they’ve been trapped in. It’s their peace of mind, their North Star. A simple life, free from pain.
